Meet Amanda Rogers, a key member of the WLM Accounting team. Amanda was drawn to WLM for it’s range of clients facing complex problems to solve, and its use of cloud technologies. Her journey with WLM has been marked by significant milestones, from her rapid rise to Directorship, to nurturing other team members towards similar success, to implementing WLM’s tax planning program.

Amanda is a strong believer in WLM’s philosophy of empowering business success together. She enjoys helping clients understand their tax compliance, streamline cash flow, and optimise systems and processes. Amanda’s breadth of corporate and tax experience, supported by her MBA studies, has positioned her to consider tax in the context of overall business needs and the long term goals of family business owners. She’s been there for her clients through highs and lows, delivering much- needed support in tough times and sharing in their joy during periods of growth. In her client relationships, Amanda aims for proactivity and open communication and is driven by understanding her clients’ needs and delivering satisfying results. “Solving problems is a creative process and I am motivated by the extraordinary in the accounting and business world. I like taking surprises out of tax for our clients and finding obscure tax benefits.”

When it comes to her team, Amanda values consultation and is not afraid to challenge the status quo if she sees something isn’t working. She believes in trusting her team, providing guidance and support, and fostering a fun work environment.

Outside of work, Amanda keeps active through hiking (including an epic Swiss Alps adventure), attending the gym, practicing yoga, chasing her dog Tiger at the dog park, and enjoying the beach with her family. She’s also a keen property investor and acts as a non executive director for Central Coast Community Connections, a charitable organisation. With an easy-going personality and a knack for staying positive amid office banter, Amanda is a valued part of our WLM family.

Meet Dan McGrath, Accounting Director and CEO at WLM.

Dan specialises in providing accounting and tax services to the insurance underwriting industry including acting for the Underwriting Agencies Council (UAC), the peak body for the industry in Australia.

Dan strongly believes in WLM’s philosophy of empowering business success together. “Accountants only add real value if they are able to build strong enough relationships with the client that results in you being the first person that the business owner calls when they need to solve their problems”. Above all, he believes in fostering a strong relationship with business owners through regular and meaningful dialogue, keeping communication clear, and translating accounting jargon into real terms that a client can make sense of.

He’s passionate about using best in breed technologies, implementing and monitoring systems and processes, and mentoring staff from ground level roles to directorship.

What keeps Dan motivated is the opportunity to have enriching conversations with like-minded business owners and learning what makes them successful. “I enjoy having conversations with like minded business owners, in the end we all have similar goals of growing our businesses, ensuring our assets are protected, minimising tax, implementing best of breed software, finding the right people and maximising profit”.

When off the clock, Dan enjoys watching sports, reading, and traveling with his family.

Meet Charley Tarchichi, a key player at WLM since 2016. He’s a firm believer in the heart of our mission: To build strong relationships with our clients, understand their goals, and use our expertise in accounting to deliver exceptional results.

Charley’s journey from Senior Accountant to Director is a testament to his hard work and dedication. He’s successfully managed a diverse client portfolio and played a crucial role in our firm’s growth – expanding our service offering and building close relationships with clients in the building & construction industry.

WLM’s philosophy of empowering business success together strikes a chord with Charley. “I am deeply committed to partnering with clients throughout their journey, finding immense satisfaction in their successes as if they were my own. My goal is to empower businesses to flourish, turning their dreams into reality while ensuring growth is achieved in a tax-efficient manner”.

What fuels his passion? Crafting solutions, tackling problems, and the joy of satisfied clients. Seeing clients thrive and accumulate wealth is more than a job well done for him – it’s a personal victory.

As a dynamic leader at WLM and with a mind wired for seeing the positives in every situation, Charley takes a coaching approach to guide his team towards success: encouraging collaboration, critical thinking and ideas that will create the best result for their clients. Since joining WLM in 2017, James has thrived both personally and professionally. He’s developed lasting relationships with clients, understanding their business needs, and delivering tailored solutions that add value. His dedication to personal growth and WLM’s success has seen him rise to the position of director in 2024. Beyond client service, James has also actively improved WLM’s operations, enhancing the firm’s efficiency, precision, and market competitiveness.

James thrives on anticipating and solving complex problems, delivering high-quality work that exceeds expectations, and helping others succeed.
